Born on March 2, 1967 at village Ambota, Tehsil Amb, District Una, H.P. Received education at Shimla. Did L.L.B from Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla in the year 1991 and got enrolled as Member of Bar Council of Himachal Pradesh in the Year 1991-1992. Practiced in Civil and Criminal as well as Revenue Courts at Shimla. After being selected in H.P. Judicial Services joined as Sub-Judge-cum-Judicial Magistrate Court No.2, Hamirpur on 08-07-1996, thereafter remained posted as such at Rohru and Palampur. Was promoted as Civil Judge (Senior Division) in the month of October, 2004 and thereafter in the month of January, 2005 as Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate. Was posted as Civil Judge (Senior Division)-cum- Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Kasauli, District Solan. Became Chief Judicial Magistrate, Lahaul & Spiti and joined at Kullu on 21-05-2010. Had served as Civil Judge (Senior Division)- cum-Chief Judicial Magistrate Kullu till 31-01-2013. Was promoted to H.P. Higher Judicial Service in January, 2013 and remained posted as Presiding Officer (Addl. District & Sessions Judge) Fast Track Court, Shimla upto 30.04.2013. Was inducted as Additional District & Sessions Judge on adhoc basis from 31-04-2013 and was inducted in regular cadre of Additional District and Sessions Judge from November, 2013. On transfer, joined as Additional District & Sessions Judge, Ghumarwin w.e.f 20-05-2013. Thereafter, promoted as District & Sessions Judge and joined at Civil & Sessions Division, Kinnaur at Rampur Bushahr on 12.05.2016. Transferred from Rampur Bushahr on 26-10-2016 and joined as such in Civil & Sessions Division, Chamba on 12.11.2016. On transfer, joined as Presiding Officer, Labour Court-cum-Industrial Tribunal on 28.12.2018. Thereafter, joined as District and Sessions Judge, Kangra at Dharamshala on 09.08.2021. Remained posted as Registrar, Hon’ble High Court of Himachal Pradesh till 01-01-2024. Thereafter transferred and posted as Presiding Officer, Labour Court-cum-Industrial Tribunal, Shimla on 02-01-2024 and remained posted as such till 09-05-2024 (F.N.). On transfer, now joined as Director, Himachal Pradesh Judicial Academy, Shimla on 9^th May, 2024 (A.N.).

PROFILE OF DEPUTY DIRECTOR, HIMACHAL PRADESH JUDICIAL ACADEMY

Born in the family of Sh. Kavinder Chawla and Smt. Kiran Chawla, at Ambala Cantt. Did my schooling from Convent of Jesus & Mary, Ambala & Integrated 5- years B.A., LL.B and LL.M from Kurukshetra University. Got selected as Civil Judge in H.P. Judicial Services by securing second rank. Remained posted as Civil Judge-cum-JMIC in Rohru, Mandi, Una, Nalagarh & Kasuali. On promotion, joined as Senior Civil Judge-cum- ACJM at Nurpur & thereafter at Palampur. Had a brief stint as Secretary, DLSA in Shimla, where after, I assumed charge of Senior Civil Judge-cum- ACJM, Nadaun on 31.08.2020. On transfer posted as Senior Civil Judge-cum-ACJM Nurpur. On placement, joined as Senior Civil Judge-cum-CJM, Nahan, District Sirmaur on 06.04.2023 as such remained posted till 18.04.2024 Presently, posted as Deputy Director, Himachal Pradesh Judicial Academy on 20^th April, 2024 (F.N.).
